“While I may be in the minority, I think one should visit a museum to experience art and not ‘to learn about’ it. Having the opportunity to get close to works and see them in a unique context and juxtaposition is a rare treat.

So much information is now digitally available for research on a whim, and confronting actual works, forms, materials, textures, smells, without the onus of academic absorption, can allow the visitor to discover art in a very personal way.”
